Feather River Advocacy Project

Empowering Native leaders to enact change, together.

Feather River Advocacy Project

A Program for Tribal Members Protecting Our Ancestral Waters

The Feather River is more than a river—it is a part of who we are. It provides for us, holds our history, and connects us to our ancestors. The Feather River Advocacy Project is a program for tribal members who want to learn how to protect the watershed using both Indigenous knowledge and Western science. Together, we will learn, build relationships, and take action to care for our homelands.

Curriculum, fieldwork, and guest speakers are organized in partnership with Feather River tribes, organizations, and leaders, who meet quarterly to review and revise the vision of the program. Together, we are providing a space to plan for the future of tribal stewardship along the Feather River watershed.
