Tribal Relations Offerings.

Build Meaningful Relationships with Native Communities—Move Beyond Words, Into Action

Have you ever felt stuck when trying to build relationships with tribes? Do you recognize the importance of Indigenous land stewardship but struggle to know where to start? Are you ready to move beyond performative gestures and take real steps toward meaningful partnerships with Native communities?

Our Tribal Relations Trainings are designed for individuals, organizations, and institutions looking to deepen their understanding and engagement with Native peoples. Through interactive workshops, field experiences, and expert-led discussions, we help you bridge the gap between intention and action.

Going Beyond Land Acknowledgements.

A land acknowledgment is just the first step—but what comes next? This workshop is for anyone who wants to build lasting relationships with tribal communities in a respectful, informed, and action-oriented way.

The Going Beyond Land Acknowledgements training program is designed to help individuals and institutions strengthen their tribal relations capacity. Ideal for teams, conservation and environmental advocacy organizations, educators, school districts, and governments, this program provides a shared foundation for understanding tribal relations and guides participants in developing a strategic, action-oriented plan for building meaningful and lasting partnerships with Native communities.

We offer quarterly public workshops as well as customized sessions for organizations that want to bring this learning directly to their teams.

What Participants Have to Say:

"This was a transforming workshop and excellent forum. I know there are many good people with open hearts wanting to ask questions, and you provided a safe and respectful space for that to happen. The information was presented well and is up to date. Many great thought and ideas came from the collective group, and I appreciate the conversation. I learned so much. Thank you."

Right Relations.

What does it truly mean to be in “Right Relationship” with Native communities? This 9-month, cohort-based program helps organizations move beyond surface-level engagement and build lasting partnerships with Indigenous groups.

Through:

  • Field visits to culturally significant sites, guided by Native leaders.

  • Online training on California Native history, sovereignty, and allyship.

  • Discussions with Native experts sharing real-world insights on Indigenous advocacy and environmental stewardship.

Our pilot cohort included 25 organizations, each walking away with deeper relationships and tangible steps toward meaningful collaboration with Native communities.
